big fan of this naked man

Isn’t this an incredible picture?

The photo was taken in 1999 by Annie Leibovitz and I thought it be fitting to share in light of Lance Armstrong’s jump into 3rd place in the Tour de France – taking place right now.

I’ve always been a big fan of Lance Armstrong.  And became a bigger fan – like many others – after his triumph of testicular cancer.  He was diagnosed in 1996 and later went on to win the Tour de France for seven consecutive years.

As most cycling, sports, or Lance fans may know, he’s back in racing again and currently racing in the Tour de France.

While I’m a fan, I also have those questions about doping and drug usage. I don’t really get it since it’s apparent that every cyclist uses something. But I digress. I’m just a big fan of sports but have never been able to see my Top 5 Sports Events before I die.  Here’s my Top 5:

Getting her ready for high school ball Rain or shine. I'm not even ashamed to admit it. #TigerSportsDad Humbled.and grateful. Today is the "official release" of my first book, OVERRATED. That means it's NOW available everywhere ONLINE and at you favorite bookstore. Appreciate your support in sharing this book with the world. - AreYouOverrated.com

Praying that this book helps the believer grow in their discipleship and the non-believer to be fascinated by the Gospel. Thank you Bend, Oregon. Loved exploring & hiking around your beautiful area. Going to bring my fishing rod next time. Sabbathing. Pouring into my soul. We can't give what we don't have. I love my church. So proud of the ways they seek to embody compassion and justice. Some of them were in downtown Seattle this week to demonstrate their solidarity with Ferguson.

I'm in the middle of a 3 month sabbatical at Quest. I'm grateful for this time of rest and rejuvenation...but I miss my church dearly. Can't wait to be back in October. There are some amazingly beautiful churches around the world. Just remember though that true worship begins when you exit the church walls and live out your faith and convictions.
