Have you seen this stunning video of a Ukranian artist named Kseniya Simonova? It’s 8 minutes and 33 seconds long but trust me, it’s worth your time and a great way to begin a new week.
Kseniya Simonova is a Ukrainian artist who just won Ukraine’s version of “America’s Got Talent.” She uses a giant light box, dramatic music, imagination and “sand painting” skills to interpret Germany’s invasion and occupation of Ukraine during WWII.
Watch it. I’m curious what you think. Reminds me again of the power of art…

That is incredible. The way the music blends with what she does in the sand is beautiful. Though, I thought it funny that the last song was a Metallica cover.

That’s amazing! i’ve never seen anything like it. Maybe this is more like what Jesus drew in the sand?
Thanks for sharing this, Eugene. Clearly there’s more to storytelling than words.
It’s wonderful that this woman won the contest, assuming that she was competing against the usual singing/dancing acts. I wonder if she would have fared as well here in the States.
AMAZING
Amazing that she was able to make that a performance piece. She took the audience on such a journey.
This is an absolutely stunning performance. God has created us with a remarkable ability to create!
