what you searching for?

What’s the weirdest “search” that people do to get to your blog?

Here’s YESTERDAY’S full list of how people searched their way to this blog.  Why are so many people searching for “palin as president?”  Remember, I like Sarah Palin…but not in that way.  And I’m getting some traction as Cho the Plumber.  I should go into business and make $250,000.

I wrote 1 post on southern comfort food and I get a lot of hits for peach cobbler and even requests for recipes although my blog is basically about my spiritual journey…..not food.

Sadly, I’ve since been heavily outranked, but I used to do quite well for people looking for “quilted bible covers.”

Why are so many people searching for “palin as president?”…my guess, because of this:

    http://www.palinaspresident.us/

    click on everything :)

Eugene — Wow, I wonder what all those people who are searching for “ill kick your ass” think when they end up at your blog.

By far, the search term people use most often to get to my blog is “flashdance.” Yikes.

  7. Dan says:

ok, so i’m….. web illiterate… but how do you find out this stuff in the first place?

  8. eugenecho says:

@dan: good to see you here dan.

not sure about blogger but with wordpress, they list your statistics on your dashboard. it tells you what people are reading, who’s linking to you, what people are searching, what people are clicking on your blog, etc.

I used to teach English as a second language in Budapest, Hungary, and we English teachers had a nickname for the city: “Big Boody.” I wrote about my time there once on my blog, and now there are at least a few people who find it every day in their search for big boody. I’m pretty sure they end up disappointed.

p.s. i didn’t find my way here by searching for anything; i linked here from Jesus Creed a little while ago and kept reading. i live in bellingham and am part of a covenant church, so it’s kind of funny that that’s how i got here.
