olympics fever

My family -especially our kids – and I have Olympic Fever. We can’t stop watching.  I’m even dressing the part…inspired by South Korean swimmer Park Tae Hwan who won the gold medal in the 400m freestyle and the silver medal in the 200m freestyle and obviously, Michael Phelps, and his quest for 8 gold medals.

Are you watching?

If only the global conflicts [such as the current one between Russia & Georgia] can be resolved through friendly competitions…

  1. I’m living on strong coffee and Olympic glory!!!

Funny though, I never saw myself as a rabid Water Polo fan, but that’s exactly what I’m becoming.

How can I not love that picture? ha, so awesome.

I have the same fever….BUT I am in Alaska. The antenna picks up a horrible tv feed and the internet is too slow to watch online. So now I have a sickness with no remedy.

    I’m afraid I might O.D. on Olympics.

Love the CBC coverage! It’s not quite so packaged up as NBC’s coverage so you feel like you are really watching the event. Plus they covered the whole medal ceremony for the men’s gymnastics team competition, including the entire place singing the Chinese national anthem. I loved watching the Chinese, Japanese and American men at the ceremony. Seems like NBC mainly focuses on Americans, while the CBC focuses on who’s interesting, regardless of nationality. Although they do show all the Canadians, but there aren’t too many….

    Great picture, Eugene!

Yes, we’ve been glued to the TV. Staying up way too late every night to watch.

It’s always great to see a white guy in a privileged country who does not have to work and can spend all day swimming and eating 12,000 calories a day while so many starve to death so he can win a game in a country that is partially responsible for the genocide in Darfur. This is a great country indeed…
